PDFs Appear Blank or Corrupted
The Problem
Spinalogic has a built-in viewer for looking at PDFs. It is fast and easy to use.
However, it can only view normal plain PDFs, not ones with internal compression.
If you try to view PDFs that have been created with compression, they will display blank or corrupted.
The Solution
Option 1
When you go to view the PDF, hold down the shift key when you double-click the document or click the ‘View’ button. The document will open in the program registered with Windows for viewing PDFs instead of the Spinalogic PDF Viewer. You should now be able to see the document.
Option 2
Using the built-in viewer is more convenient though, so instead, we recommend you change the scan settings in your scanner. Change the default to use ‘plain’ or ‘normal’ PDFs and not any kind of compression. Scan a new document and test to see it solves your issue.
This will not affect previously scanned docs of course. For them, use Option 1 above.
