Sometimes you may open a patient’s file and find all their images are super-zoomed-in and you have to zoom them all out again to view properly.

The Cause

This happens when you try to view a patient’s images but Spinalogic can’t access them on the server – usually due to a network problem. Spinalogic will show yellow exclamation mark triangles to show those images are inaccessible. The next time you try to view that same patient’s images and Spinalogic can access the images on the server, you get the super-zoomed-in problem.

The reason it’s very rare is Spinalogic tests the connection to the server at start up and so won’t start if the connection is faulty. i.e. the network fault has to develop after you’ve started Spinalogic.

The Solution

As noted, it’s a result of an unreliable network. Most commonly, it’s due to the use of Wi-Fi in your network – it’s one of the reasons we strongly recommend you don’t use Wi-Fi.

You should have your IT person take a look to fix it for you. Show them this support page to help them understand.

The Workaround

To reset the zoom of the images, right-click and select ‘Reset’. This will reset the zoom, pan and contrasting to the original state.
